Welcome to my personal website! My name is Roman Krtsch and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Political Science, University of Tübingen. I received my PhD in Political Science from Osnabrück University. Prior to my work in Tübingen, I was working at the Department of Politics and Public Administration, University of Konstanz.

I study protests and civil resistance in fragile contexts such as civil wars, post-conflict settings, and democratic transitions. I am particularly interested in the protest behavior of different actors in these contexts, from political parties over movement organizations to individuals. My previous work has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, Political Geography, and Zeitschrift für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung
